Allard Engineering is developing a smart gas valve which automatically detects anomalous flow rates to promote home safety. In this project, students are currently developing a machine learning algorithm for detecting gas flow anomalies.
This Python program, which is deployed in the cloud using Amazon Web Services, can track participation and perform automatic role assignment in the Big Data Club Discord Server. Currently, we are working on incorporating natural language processing capability so the bot can recognize and answer data science questions.
The purpose of this project is to give more recognition to scholars that have had their work used. The project scrapes arxiv.org for all papers and downloads them, then it searches for names of people or projects using NLP, and finally it presents what each person/project contributed to academic papers.
In the BDC Diamond Challenge, participants must use data visualize and machine learning algorithms to answer questions about the diamond market and determine which wholesale price they should bid to turn a profit.
